Kanye not: Someone appears to be having a meltdown.  Artwork by Ave Royd Santiago
Dear Kanye West,
I hope this finds you well, whatever your definition of that may be. I’m writing to you in the wake of your most recent Twitter tirade, an oddly compelling and frankly disturbing saga that has involved Wiz Khalifa and the cost of textbooks in the US to Bill Cosby’s innocence and your supposed $53-million “personal debt.”
I assumed that with the arrival of your son Saint and, more importantly, that you now appear to command the attention of fashion’s powers-that-be (despite the establishment’s overall skepticism toward you and your lack of serious fashion cred), that you would, as the youths say these days, “have more chill.” But everything you’ve said online lately confirms that all is not well with you, Mr. Kim Kardashian.
Let’s start with your “Yeezy Season 3.” I’m still figuring out what’s more impressive: that you were able to cram thousands of people into Madison Square Garden for the debut of your latest clothing line and your new album, “The Life of Pablo,” or that the venue was big enough to hold everyone and your ego.

Distasteful Inspiration

I also find the fact that a photo of a Rwandan refugee camp served as both the invitation and inspiration for the show — if you must call it that — about as tasteful as an Auschwitz-themed amusement park. Moreover, your decision to plug your laptop into the sound system of MSG to play your new tunes at an earsplitting volume was very derelicte of you.
If you really want to fulfill your dream of one day becoming the creative director of — cough — Hermès like you told Anna Wintour, however, being known as the maker of ugly-as-sh*t footwear and clothing isn’t the way to do it. Or maybe it is. I don’t know anymore. I’m still confused as to why anyone would want to buy your overpriced crap just to cosplay any character from Mad Max: Fury Road.
Lifestyle Feature ( Article MRec ), pagematch: 1, sectionmatch:
Sigh. Every time your name comes up, I can’t help but think of a meme that came out during the time you and Amber Rose were still a thing. It features a kitten’s paw placed over a person’s hand and a caption that read: “It’s time to stop posting.” (Appropriate af.) I mean, you’ve asked “white publications” such as Pitchfork and the New York Times not to comment on “black music” anymore, but then you’ve also begged Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for help to the tune of $1 billion. Listen, if you can afford to buy “furs and houses” for your family, perhaps you should funnel some of those funds into your so-called art instead. That is, only if you’re truly serious about it.
What happened to the old Kanye who made music without the bullsh*t theatrics and the social media melodrama, the Kanye who reworked old soul records with the playfulness of a kid who gleefully spun 33s at 45 rpm? I was your fan from “The College Dropout” until “808s & Heartbreak.” I secretly smiled when a random stranger at a mall in Pasadena called me “Kanye” since I turned up the collar of my Brooks Brothers rugby shirt that day, yes, in your honor. I even bought goddamn shutter shades because you made them so goddamn popular. Then you gave in and believed your own hype and you lost me after that — forever. I didn’t even bother to illegally download your subsequent albums.
Now I see you more as a joke, a self-centered quack who fancies himself a revolutionary artist, a caricature of someone who is dying to be taken seriously but is failing at it. You rail that people don’t understand what it means to be the great grandson of ex-slaves and “make it this far,” yet you seem to be doing your ancestors a great disservice with your repetitive, vulgar and often nonsensical declarations of your own vision, genius and god-like attributes. You had me fooled before but I’m not buying it, not anymore. You are the embodiment of The Emperor’s New Clothes and someone needs to tell you that, unfortunately, you’re not all that. Kendrick Lamar is so much better than you.
Cheers,

A Clockwork Orange star Malcolm McDowell smacks down Kanye for saying he's better than Kubrick

A Clockwork Orange star Malcolm McDowell has blasted Kanye West for claiming he’s more influential than director Stanley Kubrick.
In a leaked, profanity-laden video from backstage at Saturday Night Live, Kanye claimed he was ‘more influential than any other human being’, but specifically named the late filmmaker twice.

Now Malcolm – the star of Kubrick’s gruesome 1971 masterpiece A Clockwork Orange, no less – has put the rapper firmly in his place, via a tweet.

What a burn.
Malcolm’s Clockwork alter-ego Alex DeLarge would have been far less restrained with his take-down.

Kanye’s SNL rant included these delusions: ‘Are they f*****g crazy? Whoa, by 50 percent [I am more influential than] Stanley Kubrick, Picasso, Apostle Paul, f*****g Picasso and Escobar.
‘By 50 percent more influential than any other human being. Don’t f**k with me. Don’t f**k with me. Don’t f**k with me. By 50 percent dead or alive, by 50 percent for the next 1,000 years. Stanley Kubrick, Ye.’

To be fair, Kanye did name his other would-be inferiors – Pablo Picasso, Paul the Apostle and Pablo Escobar.
But Kim Kardashian’s husband seems to have a bit of an obsession with Kubrick, who also directed classics The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Eyes Wide Shut, among others.

During a visit to a school in Armenia in November 2015, he told a teacher of his frustration that Keeping Up With The Kardashians isn’t shot with a more Kubrick-esque flair.
He said: ‘They’re shooting my wife’s show, and I keep on, like, asking them to shoot it like it’s Stanley Kubrick.’
Their refusal to go full Kubrick is part of the reason he’s refused to appear on the show, which does not appeal to his aesthetic sensibilities.
And Kanye’s music videos are indebted to Kubrick, too. When he was shooting his video for Runaway, he tweeted pics from Kubrick movies.
And speaking about his video for Flashing Lights, Kanye described how he was ‘bringing it to real life and crashing it against Jim Henson and George Lucas type whimsy and taking, like, a [Federico] Fellini, [Stanley] Kubrick pacing and a very graphic novel/ comic book type setup on all the shots.
‘There’s a lot of shots that are borderline illegal for a film student. It just breaks rules, because I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing.’

But if Kanye West knew anything about Kubrick, he’d know they have nothing in common. Kubrick was obsessive and meticulous with his art – he never had ‘no idea’ about what he was doing.
He was also an introvert who never left the UK after moving there in the early sixties, and rarely gave interviews.
Kubrick sadly passed away at 70 in 1999, but we don’t reckon Kanye West and his banal tweets would have done much for him anyway.

Rumour: Mourinho looking into signing quality CL Star for Man Utd
Marquinhos to join Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United? (Picture: Getty)
Manchester United could try a transfer move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos if Jose Mourinho takes charge of the club.
The Red Devils look short of quality in defence this season, largely relying on Daley Blind to adjust to a new central role alongside Chris Smalling.
Marquinhos has been linked with United in the past, and Mourinho is also known to be a long-time admirer of his.
According to BuzzSport, the Portuguese tactician wanted the 21-year-old during his time at Chelsea, and remains keen on signing him in the future.
Other PSG stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Blaise Matuidi are also mentioned as being on Mourinho’s radar.

Rumour: Chelsea star holds transfer talks with top CL manager
Diego Costa and Diego Simeone in talks over reunion? (Picture: Getty)
Chelsea striker Diego Costa is reportedly in regular contract over a transfer back to his former club Atletico Madrid.
The Spain international has endured a difficult second season at Stamford Bridge, despite leading the club to the title last season with 20 Premier League goals.
Still, it seems he wants to make the move back to the Vicente Calderon, and has held talks with former manager Diego Simeone over the possibility, according to Marca.
Despite recent claims that the Argentine tactician has actually agreed to leave Atleti for Chelsea in the summer, this report suggests he is fully planning for the future at his current club.
And it would seem that re-signing Costa from Chelsea is one of Simeone’s major transfer plans.

It seems like this Kanye West v Taylor Swift feud will just keep running and running.
The rapper reportedly threw a major hissy fit backstage on the set of Saturday Night Live before his performance over the weekend.
Leaked audio obtained by Page Six has captured the rant in all its glory – and just like his Twitter tirades it’s truly epic.
Of course, we don’t know for sure if it is him.
He starts off by calling Swift, who recently made a dig at him at the Grammys, a ‘fake ass’.

(Picture: REUTERS)

The rapper then yells at NBC staff telling them: ‘Don’t f*ck with me.’
He also threatens to pull out of the show fuming: ‘I went through six years of this f*cking sh*t.’
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Kanye rant without a statement of extreme narcissism.

He then claimed he was 50 per cent more influential than any other human being ‘dead or alive’.
Kanye, don’t ever change.

The Nigerian Sports and Youth Minister, Barrister Solomon Dalung who intervened and stopped the NFF from sacking embattled coach Sunday Oliseh after his 'insane' video rant has blasted the NFF for their incessant sacking of coaches in the past and has warned the football body that such practices won't be tolerated in the future.

In the long media briefing the minister also made a 'wild' assertion that Oliseh's YouTube rant was manipulated as the video was 'fluctuating' when he was watching the video. Lol!

According to Goal.com
“The decision to fix matches is the direct responsibility of the NFF not on the rectangular size of my table," Dalung said in a Tuesday media briefing in his Abuja office..
"I can tell you that they have already had problems with the Kaduna venue because the coach wants Port Harcourt, while the federation was insisting on Kaduna.
“When I waded into it appealing to them, the coach told me that the team is playing against many negative things but when I asked the leadership of the federation, they started the whole story about the crisis with the coach.
"But I told them they were drifting too far into the issue of sacking the coach since I was not interested in listening to their stories.
“We should be able to build a country where we should celebrate somebody that did well and sympathize with him if he fails, encouraging him to do better. I told the federation that overconfidence ruined the team.
“I told the federation that they don’t need to sack the coach because he lost a game. They brought the issue of YouTube complaining that the man embarrassed Nigerians and must apologise.
"But I told them that they should not judge him based on the YouTube because technology is now so sophisticated that a man can be manipulated having an affair with a woman when it is not true.
“Yes, I agree that I am a novice as they claimed but I looked at that video and the way it was fluctuating convinced that there was an act of manipulation. This is my own judgment and I am free to hold this opinion.
“I told them if they have not heard from Oliseh directly concerning those things on YouTube, they have to hold on until I speak to Oliseh. When I spoke to him, he did not indicate any bitterness throughout the 16 minutes the discussion lasted. He rather pointed at issues we have to address.
“I know very well the circumstances with which he trained the players and even NFF know.  I told the federation that based on the discussion, we have to look at how we can make progress out of it instead of sacking Oliseh now and bringing another person we will sack again when he loses against Egypt.
“After sacking another, we will then look at how we can sack the NFF because if we sack the coaches, we will face the people that employed them since they have also failed too. It is going to be a sack game which is what we should avoid. I told them it is natural to discipline coaches but not to sack them.”
“If I will still be here when the elections into the board of the federations will be done, I am assuring Nigerians that nobody will pick his in-law or farmers’ association chairman as a member of a board.
“Those who are contesting must show their commitment, they must show how they will guide their federation to success.
“Most of all the problems we are having in the federations are linked to this. We have federations that are existing and cannot do anything except the ministry gives them money.
“The ministry even funds the ticket for a president [of a federation] to come for meetings. At the end of the day, you will discover that the federations have been reduced to a battle ground; nothing but fighting over relevance and resources.
“A man who was a leader of a farming group in the village will now be appointed a board member in a football federation.
"Immediately he arrives on the board, he considers himself as having been appointed into a big political office where he must be paid allowances and he must be given money, he has nothing to contribute but much is going to be spent on him.

These people have no chill.. lol. After Kanye West announced he was $53million in debt in a string of social media posts, writing: "I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt... Please pray we overcome... This is my true heart..." People had different reactions to his tweet. Pizza Hut UK's official Twitter page came out with their own reaction by offering Kanye a job, lol. Read the tweets below:

Their Twitter page wrote: "Stop telling everyone you need dough and try kneading some dough. We got your C.V. today. You start at 9am tomorrow."
After Kanye wrote: "But I need access to more money in order to bring more beautiful ideas to the world," they responded: "We're sorry Kanye. We just can't accept this. Please give us a call."

Alongside it was a mocked up CV, with his "skills" including "rapping, fashion design, keeping straight face, being the greatest, and album cover design".

His "experiences" included "rapping, fashion design, making the best shoes ever, Glastonbury 2015, sit ups, and baggy pants."
Finally, his references included God, Taylor Swift, Kanye, Kim and North West - with a huge cross through Taylor's name.

sorry for hurting people by comparing homosexuals to animals. Please forgive me for those I've hurt. God Bless!

Manny Pacquiao has apologised after telling a Filipino broadcaster that gay couples are ‘worse than animals.’
The ten-time world boxing champion and congressman, who is running for a senate seat in the Philippines, prompted a backlash when he made a number of homophobic comments in an interview with TV5.

He told the broadcaster: ‘Do you see animals mating with the same sex? ‘If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals.’
He was called ‘ignorant’ and ‘bigoted’.
One Filipina celebrity said he had ‘showed why we shouldn’t vote for you.’

Pacquiao has now apologised.
‘I’m sorry for hurting people by comparing homosexuals to animals,’ he said.

‘I still stand on my belief that I’m against same sex marriage because of what the Bible says, but I’m not condemning LGBT. I love you all with the love of the Lord.
‘Please forgive me for those I’ve hurt. God Bless!’
Pacquiao is a congressman of Sarangani province. His wife Jinkee is a vice governor.

Someone has started a GoFundMe page to help Kanye West out of debt
Do you want to help Kanye out of debt? (Picture: GoFundMe)
Ever since Kanye West revealed that he is in fact $53m in debt, he’s had no shortage of people offering to help him pay the enormous sum of money off.
But one of the best efforts so far comes in the shape of this GoFundMe page, which is aiming to raise the cash to allow the rapper to settle his debts once and for all.
The page, set up by graphic designer Jeremy Piatt, implores people to open ‘their hearts and wallets’ to help Kanye, adding: ‘Sure, he is personally rich and can buy furs and houses for his family, but without our help the true genius of Kanye West can’t be realised.
‘As Kanye West has told us time and time again he is the “greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time”,’ he adds.

‘To quote Mr. West, “I am Warhol. I am the number one most impactful artist of our generation. I am Shakespeare in the flesh. Walt Disney. Nike. Google. Now who’s gonna be the Medici family and stand up and let me create more!”

‘We must be the Medici family to Kanye. GoFundMe, let us unite!’
Piatt has also insisted that all the money raised is sent directly to Kanye – while saying that the page also has another aim.

‘The goal for the page is to raise awareness for supporting the arts, of course I hope that Kanye finds out about it because the money can not be transferred to him, unless that happens,’ he told Mashable.
That said, it could take some time to raise the $53m the rapper needs to be debt-free – given that when we accessed the page it had raised just $279 from 45 donations.
Still, even if that doesn’t work Kanye could perhaps save himself a bit of cash elsewhere – with this company, Magic Freebies, offering him a whole load of stuff for precisely no money.
Kanye
Yup, a quick visit here could get him some complimentary calming tea, whitening toothpaste, Tena pads (erm…) and even free restaurant vouchers so he can take Kim to Harvester (actually we thought he was more of a Nando’s fan but anyway…)
So with all this help coming in from all sides we reckon there’s hope for the rapper and his financial woes yet…

Kanye West's representative has fired back at accusations the models at his recent fashion show and album release party were not paid.
The rapper debuted his Yeezy Season 3 collection and staged a listening party for his new album, The Life of Pablo, at Madison Square Garden on Thursday (local time) in time for New York Fashion Week. His wife Kim Kardashian and many of her family were in attendance, alongside celebrities including Gigi Hadid, US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, and actresses Jaime King and Chloe Sevigny.
However, in a lengthy post on Instagram, a user known only by the name of 'kur-ents' - who claims to have taken part in the show - alleged many of the models were working for free, with some even wearing clothes from retailer American Apparel, editors at TMZ.com report.
"Kanye finnessed [sic] 1200 young black adults into working as extras for free to a sold out white crowd that was screaming 'all day n**ga'. We didn't find out we weren't getting paid til 6am. He sent us to [New] Jersey and put us in Salvation Army clothes (not Yeezy, my pants were Carhartt and my shirt was American Apparel)," he wrote on Friday.
Kanye's camp has fired back at the claims, telling writers at TMZ.com that all the models were fed, paid and dressed in the rapper's fashion line for the show.
A source explained that because of the large number of participants in the presentation, some were in vintage clothes that were dyed and were paid a rate of US$10 an hour.
Another model opened up about the guidelines models were given before the show to US gossip website Jezebel.com. It is alleged that Kanye instructed the models not to smile, whisper, dance, sing, make eye contact, "act cool", look at any cameras, or make the same movements at the same time.
A representative for Kanye has yet to officially comment on the reports. However, the rapper hinted he is unhappy with the criticism of his presentation in a barrage of posts on Twitter.com on Friday.
"I had an album listening and clothing presentation and Madison Square Garden," he wrote. "...People were crying... people were throwing up the fist... people were dancing... I'm a human being... I'm an artist, bro [sic]... you have no idea what I've had to go through... so many people didn't make it and gave everything they had for me to stand on their shoulders and break through fashion... fashion ain't no joke for me... It's a way of life... creative expression and industry... I've given everything I had for this moment... a lot of people feel it's the paradigm shift..."

Rumour: World class manager agrees £9.2m-a-year deal to become Chelsea boss
Diego Simeone has reportedly agreed to become the next Chelsea boss (Picture: Getty)
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has agreed a deal to become Chelsea manager for the start of next season, according to reports in Spain.
The eccentric Argentine boss has developed a reputation as one of Europe’s brighest coaches since arriving at the Vicente Calderon in 2011.
He broke Real Madrid and Barcelona’s grip on La Liga when he guided Atletico to the title in 2014 and the Spanish giants were runners-up in the Champions League final in the same year.
Chelsea are determined to have a permanent manager in place shortly after the season ends and Spanish outlet OK Diario claims Simeone has told Atletico that he is leaving after agreeing a £9.28milllion-a-year deal to take over at Stamford Bridge.

Revealed: The true costs of Liverpool's deal to sign Matip
Joel Matip will move to Anfield at the end of the season (Picture: Getty)
Liverpool may have signed Joel Matip on a free transfer yesterday but the Schalke defender will reportedly cost the Reds around £9.4million in his first year at Anfield.
The Cameroon defender will join Jurgen Klopp’s side this summer after his deal expires with the Bundesliga giants at the end of the current campaign.
The 24-year-old made his league debut at the age of 18 and Reds were overjoyed when Liverpool’s official Twitter account tweeted to confirm the free transfer yesterday.
However, according to Bild, the Reds have supplemented the fact that they haven’t had to pay a transfer fee by handing the defender a £4m signing-on fee, as well as wages of £5.4m-a-year.
It means the defender – who will become one of the club’s highest earner – will cost a pricey £9.4m during his first year at the club which suggests Klopp considers him good enough to become a vital asset at Anfield.

Kyle Boggess from California set up an account on dating website, Plenty Of Fish, which he used to keep tabs on his girlfriend. She took the bait and agreed to meet up with the guy she had been chatting with on the site, unknown to her, it was her boyfriend Kyle. He presented the evidence to her in the form of a valentine card complete with flowers and he filmed the whole thing.

In the video, Kyle is seen guiding the woman up the stairs while her eyes are covered, he then tells her she should move the blindfold up so 'she can see a little bit'.
The room is covered with rose petals and a toy elephant is holding a card which reads 'Valentine's Day Sucks'. The boyfriend said: 'If I can't spend it with you, it definitely sucks'.

After she takes off the blindfold, he tells her there is still more to come. He said: 'It's a big surprise you're going to love it. You might be a little mad at me about it. I did something bad.'
The blonde woman is laughing along and Kyle tells her to put the blindfold back on so it will be a 'surprise'.

Kyle explained he made a card for her and told her to remove the blindfold to see a file with A4 paper inside, which Kyle claims were print-outs of her arranging dates on Plenty Of Fish.
Kyle said: 'That's you cheating on me, so get the f*** out of my house right now.
'I'm glad you took the car here for an hour for no good reason and this is going on YouTube sweetheart.'
The woman replied she didn't care and Kyle and his brother, who also filmed her reaction, call her a w**** and b**** repeatedly.
Kyle had created the Plenty Of Fish account himself after growing suspicious.
He claimed when he posted the video on Facebook: 'My "girlfriend" was being shady. I made a fake Plenty Of Fish account and she told that account she was single, had no luck with guys blah blah blah.'
He claimed she made plans with him over the fake profile.

In another video, filmed by Kyle's brother, the woman smiled and told him: 'I don't really care. It was a two-week relationship.'

Do you think he went too far? Who wants to be with a guy who is so insecure so as to spy on his partner in two-week-old relationship?

Man City plot £40m transfer move for Pep Guardiola favourite

Pep Guardiola reportedly wants Bayern Munich defender David Alaba to join him at Manchester City.
Having agreed to takeover at the Etihad this summer, the 45-year-old is already eyeing transfer targets – and sees the full-back area as a priority according to the Daily Star.
Alaba is very versatile, being able to play at full-back, on the wing, in central midfield, or even as part of a back three.
However, it would be a pricey move for the Citizens, with the 23-year-old having two years left on his contract – and being rated at £40million.

Liverpool are reportedly looking at a transfer move for Borussia Monchengladbach defender Havard Nordtveit.
The 25-year-old has less than six months left on his contract and will become available for free in the summer if he does not sign a new deal.
According to the Sunday People, Jurgen Klopp could take advantage of this to improve his shaky defence.
The Reds have conceded 36 in 25 top flight games this season, with only Bournemouth, Norwich City, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Sunderland letting in more.
The Norway international was with Arsenal as a youngster, but left for Monchengladbach in 2010 having never made an appearance for the Gunners.
