A burglar in San Jacinto apparently picked the wrong house to break into Sunday Morning. He was confronted by a 92-year-old homeowner armed with a gun. According to San Jacinto police, the intruder tried to gain forced entry by smashing a door with an ax at a house in the 1400 block of Chase Street at about 11 a.m.
Joe Milspa said he heard the noise and approached the door with his handgun. That was when “he suddenly saw an exterior glass window of the home shatter, followed by the suspect attempting to crawl into his home through the window,” said Sgt. Craig McDonald of the San Jacinto Police Department.
Milspa, who is a World War II veteran and lives alone, immediately fired one round at the intruder. “I could have shot him right in the head between the eyes. But I didn’t want to do that. I would have been in trouble,” Milspa said.
The burglar was not hit. But he did take off running, leaving behind his ax and several other items, police said.
Milspa, who worked as a mechanic for the Los Angeles Police Department for 21 years, said he has had the gun for decades and still goes to the shooting range.

The burglar was described as 20 to 30 years old with a dark complexion.

A group of money mules who helped defraud Wonga of £3.8 million by having cash-funneled into their accounts have been jailed, one in absentia because he fled to Nigeria.
Over a 14-month period starting in April 2012, over 19,000 fraudulent loan applications totalling £6.2 million were submitted to the company using stolen identities.

According to City of London Police, a failure in Wonga’s computer systems meant over half the loans were approved, with £3.8 million hitting the accounts of a network of middlemen. Cash from their internet accounts was eventually transferred to one “master” account controlled by those running the scam.
On Friday, January 29, four of the mules were sentenced to a total of over 10 years.
Kelvin Okusanya, 31, from Coventry, the only one of the group convicted of submitting the loans and receiving the proceeds, was sentenced in his absence to six years in jail. Police believe he has fled to Nigeria.
Oluwamuyiwa Fasoranti, 32, of The Hollands, Feltham, and Sophia Pusey-Carroll, 46, of Byron Road, Harrow, were jailed for three years and 21 months respectively after being convicted of money laundering.
Monika Solarz, 29, of Audley Road, Hendon, received an 18-month sentence after admitting her role.
Police Staff Investigator Andy Cope said: "This group of money mules would have been working in close partnership with the people making the fraudulent loan applications, together taking millions of pounds from Wonga and committing identity crime on an industrial level. Being a money mule may seem like a relatively harmless offence, but law enforcement views it very differently. We are committed to stopping those middle-men who enable fraud and other crimes"

According to TMZ, Rob Kardashian has begun contacting his old party buddies and his family thinks it's a sign he's back on drugs and they blame it all on his relationship on Blac Chyna. TMZ reports below
Sources connected to the Kardashians tell TMZ, about 2 weeks ago - the same day Khloe came home from a trip and found Rob and Chyna in her kitchen - someone in the family received a call from a guy who used to party with Rob. We're told the guy is now clean and wanted them to know Rob had been calling other party friends as well, and he says Rob was trying to score drugs.
Chyna wanted to make it appear she was making Rob healthy again, cooking for him and inspiring him to exercise. Yet as we first reported, in addition to being drunk in Austin, cops say they found ecstasy pills in her sunglasses case.

The Kardashians believe it's clear ... Rob is in great danger of relapsing, and they believe it's all Chyna's doing.

What's more, the family is deeply concerned Rob's life is in danger because they think he's not taking his diabetes meds. We've learned when Kris Jenner beelined it for Chyna's house last Friday, she arrived with Rob's insulin and other Rx meds, worried he had stopped taking them.

Problem is ... Rob's not listening to anyone -- except Blac Chyna.

Ijaw elders in the Niger Delta say that they cannot hand over former Niger Delta Militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo to security agencies because they don't have the power to do and also do not know where he is at the moment.

A High court in Lagos last week gave a warrant for Tompolo's arrest after he failed to appear in court to answer some fraud cases he is alleged to have committed.

The Ijaw elders who spoke differently with Vanguard, said it will be unfair for the Federal government to ask them to produce Tompolo and those who carried out the recent attacks on oil installations.

According to them, if the security officials with all their intelligence cannot locate Tompolo, how can they who are mere civilians know his whereabouts.

Chairman, Ijaw Okosu –Otu (Ijaw Council of Elders) in Delta State, Chief Bare Etolor, said
“It is unfair for the Federal Government to ask Ijaw communities to handover suspects that carried out the bombing because we do not know them. In addition, I do not see how anybody expects us to handover Tompolo to security agencies because we do not have the power to do that, except they want to humiliate us. It is unfortunate that the Presidency wants to handle the matter from this angle. Which of the Northern elders did they tell to produce the Boko Haram leaders that are bombing in their areas. So, why are they telling us to handover people who bombed pipelines here? If they know the person that did it and ask us to help produce the person and we see him, we can assist with information if we have any. How can anybody say Ijaw leaders should handover suspects? We do not know who did it. It is not right. Even if they tell us the person, we do not have arms to arrest anybody. What they are doing is to make us not to have confidence in this government. What power do we have over armed militants? We can only talk to them as elders, not arrest them with guns. I am not supporting criminality. In fact, anybody among us, the Ijaw elders, can be a victim anytime. It is difficult for us to produce Tompolo. If they cannot see him with all their intelligence, where do they expect us to see him? I have not even seen Tompolo myself for ages.”he said
Another Ijaw leader in Gbaramatu kingdom, Chief Godspower Gbenekame, while speaking on the matter, said
"How can you say we should hand over Tompolo to the EFCC, are we security agents? If he had dealings with EFCC, they should arrest him. Why are they calling Gbaramatu elders? What I know is that Tompolo made many enemies when he worked for the Federal Government to guard the pipelines. He burnt illegal refineries, razed boats and these people are not happy. He has been a partner to the government all this while, that is why we called for a political solution to the matter.”

As the hunt in the UK for the owner of the unclaimed £33million Lotto jackpot intensified, a woman has reportedly come forward claiming to have the winning ticket.
But, she claims, there is just one small problem - it has been through the washing machine.
According to The Times, the blonde-haired woman presented the tattered bit of paper to a newsagent in Worcester on Friday.

Natu Patel, who runs Ambleside News in Warndon on the outskirts of the city, was Friday revealed to have sold the jackpot ticket.
The 64-year-old was told by National Lottery bosses that the winning ticket was bought in the area.
He said that it would be "wonderful" if it was bought in his shop - though he won't know if it is unless he scans it.

Therein, according to The Times, lies the problem - the all-important date and barcode have been scrubbed off the woman's ticket.
The woman, who claims to have found the ticket in the pocket of a pair of jeans that had been in the wash, told The Times: "I’ve been a nervous wreck.
"I haven’t slept all night. Since I found it in my jeans pocket, my daughter and I have been drying it out with the hairdryer.
"You can see 2016 but not the date. This is one of only two shops I buy my tickets, and I remember coming in here the day, or the day before [the draw], because I had to buy something else.

There's no way to confirm the woman's claims though.

The winning ticket holder has until Thursday July 7th to claim the cash or it will go to National Lottery projects.

A man who conned pals out of £100,000 to secure his win on the “Spainish sweeptake Lottory” has been jailed.
Keith Kapri, 59, fell for an illiterate email scam promising £3.8million if he sent cash to release the jackpot .
The school governor sent £100,000 of his own then lied about needing help freeing up an inheritance and sold shares in a bogus business.
Kapri, of Hartley Wintney, Hants, sent a total £101,700 from six victims in 2006.
Giving him three years at Winchester crown court, Judge Keith Cutler said: “The victims feel very deceived.”

When it comes to personal hygiene, one major aspect that has been trailed by diverse reactions is the issue of keeping or doing away with pubic hair, the hair that grows in the frontal genital area of humans, located on and around the sex organs of both male and female.

To some, nothing else nauseates like seeing hair in their partner’s private part, while some people are delighted by it as the sight of it is even a major turn-on for them, and to some others, it really does not matter whether the hair is kept intact or not.

To Mr. Johnson Agbede, a lecturer in his mid 50s, there are a few other things that are as disgusting as seeing a hairy private part. “You know how it feels when you see thick (sometimes coloured) hair in someone’s armpit? That is the way I feel when I imagine anyone keeping his or her pubic hair. My wife knows and she dares not keep it. I don’t keep mine too and I make sure I shave every Saturday,” he added.

Agbede, who is a father of three, said he believes the hair should never be allowed to grow because, according to him, it tends to harbour dirt and cause body odour over time. “Keeping it just does not make sense. For what purpose?” he queried.

But just as much as Agbede despises pubic hair, Mrs. Taiwo Peters, a business woman and mother of two, says she sees nothing wrong with keeping the hair in that region “as long as it is kept clean.” Perhaps, her stance is also informed by her husband’s preference for keeping it intact.

“My husband tells me that seeing it turns him on and that the moment I shave it, I would be on my own. I could trim it mildly but not absolute removal. For him too, he doesn’t shave but he could trim it when it is becoming too bushy.”

Interestingly, those who support it say getting rid of the hair makes them feel clean and fresh while those against it say it does not allow for friction during sex and that leaving it is not harmful in any way. Thus, the argument keeps going back and forth. Findings however revealed that most people shave their pubic hair and their reasons differ.

Notably, the methods people use to get rid of the pubic hair include shaving (with the use of razor, clipper or scissors), creaming and waxing, which is a form of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root before new hair starts to grow back in the area between four and six weeks.

But according to some experts, pubic hair should not be shaved; rather, it should be left as it grows because of the roles it plays as a cover that shields the organs from avoidable infections and friction. They noted that shaving could open up the skin for pathogens bacteria and viruses, thereby increasing the spread of sexually transmitted infections, skin irritation and other skin infections, like Molluscum contagiosum.

In addition, they said the removal of the hair could increase the risk of genital skin infections because small cuts or scratches occasioned by the removal of the hair could open the door for viruses to cause infections.

Even though the situation applies to both men and women, a study published on the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology found that about 60 per cent of women who shave their pubic hair were found to have at least one health complication, and the most common health challenges found were epidermal abrasion (a wound caused by superficial damage to the skin) and ingrown hairs.

The study revealed further that women who are obese are almost twice as likely to report a complication and almost three times as likely if they have total hair removal.

A consultant gynaecologist, Hugh Byrne, told United Kingdom Telegraph that the removal of pubic hair could lead to abscess, a swollen area within body tissue containing an accumulation of pus. He explained that an increase in abscesses as reported had been caused by bacteria that enter the body through the hair follicle that was left open. He however said the solution to such infection could be through the use of antibiotics or an operation.

According to a review of some studies on Journal of American Medical Association, published on Mail Online, the act of removing pubic hair could cause a deficit in the mucous membrane of the skin, which could allow viruses or bacteria to enter the body.

“Waxing causes deficit in the mucocutaneous barrier that may be sufficient for viral entry and transmission, potentially increasing the risk of acquiring STIs,” the report said.

The report added that waxing as a form of removing pubic hair does not only increase the risk of contracting STI, it also causes small injuries to the skin, the underlying structures, micro tearing of muscle fibres, the sheath around the muscle and the connective tissue. This in turn could lead to spread of infection, burns, bumps that form under the surface of the skin and folliculitis, which is an inflammation of the hair follicles.

It noted, “Pubic hair waxing can also cause burns, with most being superficial or partial-thickness burns, while bacteria including staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus pyogenes and pseudomonas aeruginosa were found to be among the infections people are at risk of contracting. They can be transmitted via contaminated waxing tools or from the person performing the procedure.

“Individuals who wax their pubic hair should be informed of this possible risk and perhaps be advised to abstain from sexual activity for a certain period of time after waxing.”

A gynaecologist, Dr. Olanrewaju Ekujumi, told Punch Newspaper that when one shaves newly, the risk of transmitting skin infections to each other is high during sexual intercourse.

He said, “When you shave, there tends to be opening where the hair has been removed, it could be an avenue for organisms to penetrate and cause infections. So, when you shave, maybe you should avoid sex, even though it has also not been medically proven, theoretically, it is a possibility.”

Ekujumi explained further that even though some people feel very happy and comfortable when everything is nicely shaved, leaving the pubic hair unshaved has no negative effect on the body. He noted that the hair itself is a protective covering, such that before anything gets into the body through those areas, it would have overcome the hair first.

“In gynaecology, shaving has no medical implication, apart from the bumps and other things that could come with shaving or waxing. However, when someone shaves and the partner does not, if the person who shaves has coarse hair, it could irritate the person who does not shave,” he said.

When asked whether it is advisable to shave or not, he said it depends on what individuals want, but that instead of shaving, people could use scissors to trim the hair so as not to open up the skin.

According to a dermatologist, Dr. Funmilayo Ajose, there is no problem shaving or not shaving, but she suggested that those who wish to shave should do it correctly to avoid infections. However, she said people who have rashes when they shave their beards or legs should not venture into shaving pubic hair. Reason? She said rashes also tend to come up there and that it could be multiplied in the pubic area because the place is warm and germs and bacteria could rapidly multiply there.

She continued, “Some people’s pubic hair can be so strong that it can cause friction for their partner. So, it should be done in a way that it would not be prone to infection or irritation and ensure it does not have a sharp end that could make it a problem instead of being a solution. If in the process of shaving, the hair curls back and pricks the skin, it could introduce the germs that are outside the skin into the skin.

“However, there are non-irritant shaving chemicals that can remove the hair smoothly, but there is no harm leaving it and there is no harm shaving it.”

She explained that leaving the pubic hair does not lead to odour and shaving it does not reduce it, saying it depends on people’s personal hygiene.
