Authorities of the Federal Capital Territory have marked the national secretariat of the New Peoples Democratic Party, located at Number 4, Oyi River Crescent, Maitama District, Abuja, for demolition.
The inscriptions on the wall and the gate of the building showed that it was marked on October 11, 2013.
Our correspondent, who visited the area on Monday, reports that an agency of the FCDA, Development Control, used red ink to inscribe the demolition notice on the wall and the gate of the building.
The Armoured Personnel Carrier, which was stationed close to the building, had been removed while a Police Monitoring Vehicle, which was also stationed close to the National Lottery Building, adjacent to the New PDP Building, was also no longer there.
Only a riot policeman was seeing patrolling the area when our correspondent visited the area.
The FCDA has however unsealed the Adamawa State Governors’s Lodge, where the New PDP moved its office, after its Oyi River Crescent office was sealed by the police.
