Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere’s return yesterday, Saturday, December 29, 2013 from his Medical trip to the United States was greeted with pump.
It was a shut down in Imo State owing to mammoth crowd that thronged Imo airport to welcome him. It was rally of a sort as people of different groups and classes were seen in their organized file singing and thanking God for the return of Prince Eze Madumere.
The celebration may not be unconnected to the rumour sown into the air that Imo Deputy had left because of seeming rift between him and his boss, Owelle Rochas Okorocha. However the tension was punctured with statements from Government House.
Addressing a sea of people who had trooped to the airport in solidarity, he said he appreciated their their love prayers, support and goodwill. An overwhelmed Madumere said he was humbled for such an all out heroic welcome.

Meanwhile, he clarified that he had gone on a medical trip on the approval of the Governor as he wondered how people could peddle such lies that he had a rift with his boss. He said what is important is that he has come back far better and stronger than he left saying he was resuming duty immediately.
He told the public he has always discussed his actions and inactions with his boss, Owelle Rochas Okorocha whom he described as a father. he called on the people of Imo State not to exercise any atom of fear in their mind while assuring the people his unflinching support with hard work to helping make Imo better.
Speaking, the Deputy Coordinator of APC Students Support Group, Comrade Elvis Igbokwe and the  leader of National Parliament of Students, Comrade Florence Thomas described the rumour mongers behind unfounded lies on the make-believe rift between Gov. Okorocha and his Deputy as satanic and enemies of progress. They warned they are ready to face all bad elements who have become a clog of progress in the will of progress of Imo South East in General.
