APGA asks Umeh to hand over within seven days

The All Progressives Grand Alliance has asked Chief Victor Umeh, who was sacked by a Federal High Court in Abuja as the National Chairman of the party, to hand over its assets to the new leadership.
The new National Secretary of APGA, Dr. Sagir Maidoya, in a letter to Umeh, dated January 20, 2014, informing him of the planned formal takeover of the party’s affairs, said the necessary handover note should be completed within one week.
The letter, obtained by journalists on Tuesday in Abuja, was copied to the Inspector-General of Police, Director-General of the State Security Services, Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and Chairman of Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission.
It reads, “We note your past services to the party in your capacity as National Chairman since 2004. Pursuant to the Judgement in Suit No: FHC/ ABJ/CS/563/2013 between Chief Maxi Okwu and four others and Chief Victor Umeh, Alhaji Sani Shinkafi and INEC where you were the first
Defendant,  we have commenced the process of formally taking over the
affairs of our great party.
“To this end therefore, we request from you a comprehensive handover note which should include: a comprehensive inventory of Party assets nationwide particularly at the National Secretariat and a balance  sheet duly audited by a certified Auditor.
“Please oblige by delivering to us the said handover note at the above address within one week of the receipt of this letter. Please accept the assurances of our highest regard.”
