CP Joseph Mbu Has Been Sacked From Rivers State

Following series of pressures and summoning of the Inspector General of Police, MD Abubakar to appear at the Senate next Tuesday to tell Senators why the Police appears to be very biased in Rivers State, action has been taken by the Police Service Commission (PSC).

The PSC on Thursday announced the removal of the controversial Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mbu from Rivers State and posted him to the Federal Capital Territory with immediate effect.

The good thing is that CP Mbu has be replaced with a professional officer, Johnson Ogunsakin, who until now was the the commissioner in charge of the Special Fraud Investigations Unit in Lagos.

Police Service Commission also announced the redeployment of 12 other commissioners, with all the postings to take effect immediately.

CP has been posted to Abuja where he will operate closely with his alleged sponsors.
