Is Russell Brand Running for Mayor of London?

British actor/comedian Russell Brand is plotting a move into politics by running for the position of London Mayor, according to U.K. reports.
The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star has positioned himself as a political commentator in recent months, urging fellow Brits to demand a change to the way the country is run and even putting his ideas into a new book titled Revolution.
Now multiple U.K. reports suggest Brand is considering running for office of London Mayor in 2016.

A spokeswoman for Brand tells Britain’s Mail on Sunday’s newspaper, “I’ve spoken to Russell and he has no comment to make on this.”
