Jessica Simpson Shows Off Shorter, Blonder Hair in Makeup-Free Selfie (PHOTO)

When I think of the words "human doll," the first gorgeous celebrity who comes to mind is Jessica Simpson. The singer and mommy's trademark golden blonde hair, which usually falls way below her bra strap and boasts lots and lots of voluminous layers, is super glam -- though I wouldn't exactly call it cutting edge. And, you know, that's okay because not everyone needs to be a trendsetter.
At the same time, Jess doesn't cling to her hair -- something I always loved about her. She has gone short in the past and has looked wonderful. She recently posted a photo on Instagram of her new shorter and blonder 'do and it changes her entire look in the best way.
After sitting for a snip and color change, Jessica posted this photo with the caption "Short hair don't care... Cut by my favorite @roqchop and blondie by the best of all time @ritahazan:"

Apologies in advance to anyone who clicked on this post expecting to see Jessica rock a pixie -- her beauty move isn't quite so bold. But let's focus on the change we have in front of us because it's a great one for the clothing designer. She did away with all layers, save a subtle face-framing one, and made sure her ends were razor-sharp. The result is a sleek cut that works really well with the mod '60s looks we're seeing this fall.
And a moment of silence for that special color.
I would give anything to be able to pull off this hue, which is slightly cooler and more of a champagne-blonde that we're used to seeing on the golden girl.
