Kawakawa raid uncovers meth worth $6400 - police

A Kawakawa man was due in court today after Far North Police say they found more than $6000 worth of methamphetamine and hundreds of dollars worth of stolen property when they searched an address in the town yesterday afternoon.
Police say they entered the property and found 6.4 grams of methamphetamine worth $6400, $5540 cash, utensils used for methamphetamine, a stolen drill taken in a burglary the day before, a $1400 coffee machine that had been stolen from a store in Kerikeri and a number of other stolen items.
A 26-year-old Kawakawa man has been charged with burglary, supplying/selling methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine for supply.
He was to appear in the Kaikohe District Court today.
