IN THE MIX: Lydia Ko shot an even par 72 to remain three shots off the lead in South Korea.
Lydia Ko remains three shots off the lead in the HanaBank Championship in South Korea after shooting an even par 72 in the third round today.
Ko's 72 at the Sky72 Golf Club in Incheon followed her opening round 73 and a 69 for a total of 214 to trail dual leaders Kyu Jung Baek and Hee-Kyung Bae (211) by three strokes.
The South Korean pair both shot stunning four under 68s today and hold a narrow single stroke lead over a clutch of rivals on 212 including world No 1 Inbee Park and yet another South Korean in In Gee Chun. Also in that group is Thailand's Pornanong Phatlum.
Ko is playing in her first professional tournament in the country of her birth but her even par round failed to attract much attention as the home country heroines tore up the course.
The Kiwi ace opened her third round brightly enough with back-to-back birdies on the fourth and fifth holes to clear the first nine in a tidy 34.
But she stumbled almost immediately, dropping a shot on the 10th and then another on the 15th.
