Anne Widya is a Hong Kong based mother-of-four who began experimenting with decorating food last year when her son Andrew, 10, felt unwell.
She told i100.co.uk that when she posted the results on Facebook “my friends loved it and then they started to request cartoon character for the next plate.”
“The request became more complicated, and I loved the challenge. So I started to post breakfast (which requires time management) and lunch/ dinner art plates (which sometimes I do together with my kids) every now and then.”
Ms Widya documents her creations on instagram. “I never make food art when my kids are hungry or in a hurry because that will defeat the whole purpose of food art, creating happy memory”, she said. Here are some of her best creations:
