Although Obama has overstepped his constitutional bounds on several occasions and caused the discussion of his impeachment, some are saying this would be a bad idea. Shocking the nation most recently was Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy, who simply asked those demanding impeachment to look at his would-be successor, Joe Biden.
Obama has inarguably done an abysmal job thus far in his presidency and is showing no signs of making any improvements, but the question is raised: if Obama is kicked out, who steps up to bat? Addressing Bill O’Reilly amid an interview, Gowdy said that impeaching Obama could actually have an adverse effect on America, considering Biden’s astounding incompetence.
The question came about as Bill asked:
“What about what Judge [Andrew] Napolitano raised? That this is an impeachable situation because it does go against Congress making the laws, because the president is making a new law. And the new law says that if you have children who are American citizens, even though you yourself are an illegal undocumented person, you can stay in this country. That supersedes the old law. Napolitano claims it’s unconstitutional and impeachable. Do you see anybody going down that road in the House?”The simple – and logical – argument put forth by Gowdy was: “Have you met Joe Biden?” Considering the utterly frightening hypothetical here, one has to wonder if this was an Obama safeguard to divert impeachment talks from the beginning.
