Taylor Swift Wears NYE Crop Top, World Is OUTRAGED

Last night, Taylor Swift sang in the New Year wearing exactly what you'd expect her to wear: a sparkly crop top and high-waisted trousers. It's what you'd expect because A) she wore the exact same thing in a Christmassy tartan pattern a few weeks ago for Jingle Ball/her birthday celebrations B) THIS IS TAYLOR SWIFT. The singer is a noted crop top aficionado—a borderline crop top obsessive, even. So the fact that Tay wore half a shirt when it was around 20 degrees last night isn't shocking at all. Really, we love her for it.

But it seems not everyone feels the same way.
But again, this is TAYLOR and she's all sparkles and confetti celebrations and shaking it off:
So, whatever, haters gonna hate (hate, hate, hate, hate).
She did however throw on a sparkly jacket at one point, which coincidentally (aka totally not coincidentally) matched her mic. The whole look is from Jessica Jones and Joseph Cassell and is very disco ball-chic.

In an extra endearing bit of news, she also had a bit of a J.Law moment, tripping on the stairs and recovering (how many times can we use that shake it off joke?) with an extra large laugh:
Overall, it was a glorious way to welcome 2015, and there was just one disappointing factor (after all, it can't be NYE without those accute feelings of disappointment): There is STILL no sign of Taylor Swift's bellybutton. Sad.
