“Heavenly” Apparition Appears In D.C. Just Before Pope Dines With Obama

The U.S. has been abuzz ever since Pope Francis has been making his rounds before heading to the Capitol. However, just before one the most prominent religious figures was scheduled to dine with Barack Obama, hikers spotted an incredible phenomenon that some believe is a supernatural sign.

Weather.com posted photos taken by Radka Chapin and her friend after the two encountered an eerie manifestation on a hike in Washington’s Mount Rainier National Park. The two were heading back down Tamanos Mountain when they saw what experts are calling a “rare optical illusion” known as the Brocken spectre.

The heavenly figure appeared to move and even transform before the hikers’ eyes.

“Well, we’re definitely not leaving now!” Chapin wrote in her report on the discussion forum nwhikers.net. “Over the next few hours, the ‘spectre’ would show for brief moments before it disappeared with moving clouds.”
“The spectre became more prominent, colorful, and was projected onto clouds directly below us. It was a breathtaking show,” said Chapin.

The Christ-like shadow split into two figures, resembling a person and a cross.

Because the Brocken spectre is typically seen near the Brocken, the summit of the Harz mountain range in Northern Germany, the new sighting in D.C. has been recently given the same name. Experts say that the sun casts a shadow in the mountains, and the halo is formed by water droplets in the air, creating a Christ-like figure encircled by a rainbow.
However, many are asking if the heavenly apparition is a warning.
The phenomenon occurred just before the Pope was scheduled to meet with Obama and offer his concerns about world affairs, according to ABC News.

Speaking in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, Pope Francis said that the world must answer for “the innocent victim of abortion, children who die of hunger or from bombings, immigrants who drown in the search for a better tomorrow, the elderly or the sick who are considered a burden, the victims of terrorism, wars, violence and drug trafficking, the environment devastated by man’s predatory relationship with nature.”

The striking vision might not be an inexplicable event, but it certainly serves as a reminder that the U.S. has turned away from its spiritual founding and Christian heritage to pursue the ungodly. Abortion on demand and without apology, the LGBT forcing churches to rewrite scripture for their agenda, and the slaughter of innocent Christians in the name of Islam rages as the U.S. turns a blind eye to God’s ancient warning.

“I have already warned those who had been sinning when I was there on my second visit. Now I again warn them and all others, just as I did before, that next time I will not spare them.” [2 Cor. 13:2]

Christ promises that He will return, not as a lamb for slaughter, but as a vengeful warrior. God gave the earth over to his creations to do with as we pleased, but we have abused and perverted what He created for our pleasure.

Just as God once cleansed the earth of those who would never cease to practice evil, He promises that He will again destroy humanity. However, as He has before each and every act of vengeance, He provides warnings and sufficient time for everyone to escape this deserved fate.
