And police might have to invest in one too after a baby copperhead was found at Carrum Downs cop shop this morning.
Superintendent Glenn Weir said snake catcher Barry Goldsmith was called to remove the snake, about 7.30am.
“We’re used to dealing with all sorts of unusual hazards and levels of harm, however, dealing with a snake, albeit a baby one, is quite unusual,” Insp Weir said.
“But we approached it in the normal manner, assesed the risk, tried to negoitiate with the snake and then reached a peaceful resolution by getting the snake catcher out to relocate it.”
