Alex Iwobi will become an Arsenal ‘great’ after first-team promotion, insists Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger believes Alex Iwobi will go on to become a ‘great player’ for Arsenal after the youngster was promoted into the Gunners’ first-team.
The 19-year-old made his debut for the Gunners in their 3-0 Capital One Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in October and his league debut four days later against Swansea City.
The winger, who is the nephew of Bolton legend Jay-Jay Okocha, already has two caps for Nigeria and Wenger admitted earlier this week that he’d prefer to keep the forward at the club rather than loan him out.
And, with the teenager promoted into the Gunners’ first-team for today’s title clash with Leicester City, Wenger has tipped Iwobi to become an Arsenal great in years to come.

‘This boy will be a great player for Arsenal,’ said Wenger.
‘He has all the ingredients, not just on the football front but also mentally.’
