Lily-Mae Sorensen, from Somerset, was on a China Southern Airlines flight from London to Australia with her mum Rachel and brother Riley during Christmas when the horrific incident occurred.
While Rachel was being served by one hostess, Riley told another he wanted some tea and so she handed him a boiling hot cup.

Rachel, 24, has now been given a medical bill of more than $1,000 (£690).
She said: ‘My kids screamed in pain and we rushed to take the babygrow off her.
‘As I stripped them both off, my daughter had massive swollen blisters on the top of her thigh and my son escaped with a red blistering mark.’

When they landed, paramedics, a fire crew and border enforcement boarded the plane as they had been told there was an explosion with two child casualties.

Rachel had paid more than £2,500 for their flights and are now seeking compensation – but have had no response from the airline since they complained last week.
She said: ‘The airline rang us two days after to see how she was and we’ve filed a complaint, but heard nothing.’
