A representative for Daniel Craig has moved to quash rumours the actor is set to quit as James Bond.
Recent reports suggested the Spectre star was set to leave his role as the British superspy after editors at US magazine Variety linked him to a role in an American television adaptation of the Jonathan Franzen novel Purity.
Craig's representative has moved to deny the rumours, telling the BBC there is no truth to the reports and that he is yet to decide on his future as Bond.
The original Variety report suggested bosses at various entertainment companies including Showtime, Netflix, and FX are considering bids for the new TV series, but cautioned that any talks are at a very early stage.
Ahead of the release of the latest Bond film Spectre in October last year, the Brit fuelled rumours he was set to quit after his fourth outing as the secret agent, telling one reporter he'd rather "break this glass and slash my wrists" than appear in another 007 movie.
However, Craiglater insisted he was being flippant and insisted he'd continue playing Bond as long as he physically felt he could.
