Emma Watson has revealed that she is taking a year off from acting… to read one book every week.
If only we all had that luxury!
‘I’m taking a year away from acting to focus on two things, really; my own personal development is one,’ the former Harry Potter star who is thought to be worth around £35 million, admitted to Bell Hooks, an American author.
‘I know that you read a book a day. My own personal task is to read a book a week, and also to read a book a month as part of my book club. I’m doing a huge amount of reading and study just on my own,’ said Emma.

It seems that many of Emma’s fans were also jealous of her decision, taking to Twitter to admit what a ‘joy’ it would be if they could do the same.

Although not everyone was impressed…

Emma and Bell interviewed each other for Paper magazine, and they discussed Harry Potter, social media and feminism.
‘I almost thought about going and doing a year of gender studies, then I realised that I was learning so much by being on the ground and just speaking with people and doing my reading,’ added Emma, who is a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and helped to launch the successful HeForShe campaign.
‘I actually wanted to keep on the path that I’m on. I’m reading a lot this year, and I want to do a lot of listening.’

As part of her year’s break, Emma will also surely find time for her new boyfriend, a computer wizard from California, William Knight.
The pair have been spending the last few months together, and according to The Sun, William, who goes by the name Mack, ‘is just a normal, down-to-earth guy who has nothing to do with Hollywood, and Emma loves that’.
