A father-of-three said he was ‘outraged’ to discover that the parent and child parking spaces at his local branch of Aldi were signposted as ‘mother and child’.
Househusband Graham Taylor, 32, went into the supermarket in Grimsby, Humberside, to complain when he parked up and saw the sign.

He shared an image of the sign on Facebook alongside the words ‘Dads not allowed to park?’
‘I drove into the store’s car park and they are having works done so they have created a temporary position for parent parking,’ he said.

‘I pulled into one of the three spaces, which all had the same sign. I was outraged that it said mother and child not parent and child. It’s the first time I’ve come across any sign like this in years which is why it shocked me.’
Mr Taylor says the sign is indicative fo a general a lack of respect for stay-at-home fathers.

‘Househusbands really don’t get the respect [they should] these days,’ he said.
An Aldi spokesperson said: ‘This was a temporary sign used during the refurbishment of our Grimsby store. It has now been replaced with a parent and toddler sign.’
