Giving a cat a pound of catnip is just as entertaining as you’d imagine

If you’ve never witnessed the true joy of watching a cat lose its damn mind over catnip, you’re missing out. It’s one of the greatest pleasures in life. For you and the cat.
Sure, you’ll feel a little bit bad. You’re essentially giving your cat special cat drugs for your own amusement.
But it’s so, so funny. And they like it, so it’s okay.
We’ve always wondered: what would happen if we gave our cat an entire box full of catnip? Would they just roll around in a state of glee for four consecutive hours? Would they have a massive comedown the next day?
One intrepid internet person made it their mission to find out. Redditor microbionic gave his cat a pound of catnip. This face is the result:

Microbionic revealed that his kitty had pretty much the same response she usually has to the good stuff: ‘She does not eat it… Just rolls around and… Then runs around…. And scratches all the things.’
Sounds about right.
