Rescuers from SeaWorld were called on Thursday morning to The Marine
Room on the coast of San Diego, where they found her sleeping on one of
the seats.
The tiny pup cried as she was placed in a net to be taken to their animal rescue centre.

Experts are cautiously optimistic about her recovery.
Jody Westberg from Seaworld said: ‘We were surprised to see a really
young sea lion pup that had actually spent the night in this booth at
this restaurant.’

There’s been a surge in sea lion mortality over the past year, and

or dead pups.
Scientists say higher-than-normal ocean temperatures linked to El Niño have been badly affecting the animals’ food supply.
