Former Black Caps all-rounder James Franklin will captain English county side Middlesex in its upcoming domestic one-day campaign.
Franklin, 35, has joined Dawid Malan at the helm for Middlesex after England limited overs captain Eoin Morgan stepped down.
Malan will lead Middlesex in Twenty20 cricket, while Franklin has been named skipper for 50-over matches.
Franklin will also captain Middlesex in county cricket when overseas player Adam Voges is on international duty for Australia.
He will also have the services of retiring Black Caps skipper Brendon McCullum, who is joining Middlesex in late April following the Indian Premier League.
McCullum will be available until June 25, and is scheduled to play seven T20 matches and four one-day games for Middlesex.
