Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini ‘wants to try again’ with Cheryl despite divorce proceedings

Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini is reportedly desperate to reunite with Cheryl, and, according to a ‘close family member based in France’, will be sending her gifts for Valentine’s Day. 
It comes after it was revealed Cheryl planned to file for divorce after just 19 months of marriage, citing ‘unreasonable behaviour’.
According to The Sun, a source who they claim is one of JB’s family members, has revealed that he wants to try and save the marriage.
The said: ‘He does not want to divorce Cheryl and wants to make a go of their marriage. He’s still in love with her. JB wanted a child with Cheryl, they were trying and he would still like a child if they stay together.’

Apparently keen to put across JB’s side of the story for the first time, the source continued by saying: ‘JB is planning something for Cheryl but he’s not letting anyone in on the secret. He’s got a special surprise for her. He really wants to make the marriage work. It boils down to how close his parents were. That’s what he wants for him and Cheryl.’
The source also claimed that the pair were still very much together as recently as November last year, despite reports of the marriage heading for the rocks emerging as far back as August.
Whether or not there is still a chance Cheryl will also fight for her love remains to be seen. Metro.co.uk have approached a spokesperson for the X Factor judge for comment and are awaiting response.
