Kanye West’s models for Season 3 stood for so long they practically collapsed

Kanye West pushed fashion to the absolute limit during the launch of his Season 3 fashion line and The Life Of Pablo album launch.
In fact, he pushed it so far his models were on the verge of collapse.
The show started at 9.30pm GMT and saw expressionless models clad in his new line holding strong poses, barely blinking, barely moving. There was no walking – they assumed positions from the start and that’s where they stayed.
And being in varying degrees of dress – one woman was in the biggest puffer jacket known to man – it was only a matter of time before someone succumbed to the hot lights of the stage.
Half an hour in and not one, but several dropped to the floor to have a rest.
Several others swayed and looked seriously peaky before also taking a seat.

They had been instructed not to smile, not to look at cameras, not to make sudden movements,  or drop character,  or try to be cool. Most of the female models were also in heels.

But the suffering was probably worth it – and they say you should suffer for your art – as Kanye’s album and new Yeezy line were a huge hit with fans.

And for their suffering, the models did get a shout out from Kanye himself: ‘Thanks to all the performers standing hearing me talk sh*t for an hour.’
