New Zealand’s most eligible young man, Max Key, kept up his rich lister scion image with this pic posted to his Instagram account last night, in which the up-and-coming DJ takes a nap on a private jet after a whirlwind trip to Sydney where he partied with pals, while his olds camped down with the First Couple of Oz.

If he’s trying to shake the Fresh Prince of Parnell tag, he’s not doing a very good job.

Key the Younger, coiffed hair and headphones still in place, takes forty winks.

“Got caught sleeping on Air Force 1 today,” he wrote. His locked iPhone lies discarded in the foreground with a signet ring, possibly a family memento.

“Last week was crazy and the exciting thing is next week is only going to be busier! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, and don’t forget to download 'Forget You’,” he writes dripping in enthusiasm and a sense of self-entitlement.

The obligatory shout-out to his new single – supposedly penned about his ex-girlfriend, Amelia, who dumped him – is to be expected.

The track - which drew mixed praise in the SCOUT office, with the younger staffers (read: Maxy acolytes) loving every high-pitched note – is sure to have been played across the plane’s audio system.

How receptive the audience was trapped, sorry, buckled in their seats, is another matter.
