A Chinese fashion model has died after undergoing a breast enlargement operation in Shenzhen, southern China.
The woman, identified only by her surname Wong, is from Hong Kong but had traveled to the city of Shenzhen to have the low-cost plastic surgery operation.
During a consultation before the surgery, medical staff told her that she had small eyes along with small breast syndrome.
But during the operation, the mother-of-one tragically died after doctors encountered problems with the anesthetic.

The couple's four-year-old daughter had remained behind with family.nnBut instead of telling him the operation was a success, they explained there were complications, and then added that she had died. The family later discovered that actually the woman had probably died at least 2 1/2 hours earlier, after which an ambulance had been called and medics had been only able to confirm that she was already dead.nnA video shows her desperate family standing around her fully closed body which is still on the operating table.nnThe doctor in charge of the operation, Xie Jun, had already left the clinic when the family wanted to speak to him and they have accused the management of trying to cover up what happened. They say that there were bottles of unidentified liquids in the operating room which they want tested as they believed are hormones used on animals.nnThey are demanding to see video footage from the operating theatre which the hospital has so far claiming does not exist.nn(ends)nn

The cause of death will be confirmed following post-mortem examinations.
