ASOS rapidly removed the shirt after Twitter users expressed disbelief at the designs.
One user @RaedKhan_ said: ‘Not sure what I’m more shocked by. ASOS promoting a clothing line called ‘Slave’ or the black male that was happy to model it..?!’
The shirt was being sold by an independent retailer via ASOS Marketplace, which is not regulated by ASOS itself.
The T-shirt was sold via Wasted Heroes, part of a collection featuring the word alongside corporate logos which looked similar to those employed by Disney, Burberry and Nike.
