The luxury food is normally sold at high-end stores where one oyster can cost up to £5, but the supermarket says it wants customers to live a “champagne lifestyle at the price of a fish finger”.
Morrisons says many people will never have tried them before and has come up with a range of recipes and video guides to give cooks some tips.
Adam Cotton, a seafood buyer for the company, said: “We want to make oysters affordable enough for anyone to try them and they now cost little more than a fish finger.
“Our fishmongers are ready to help customers who are worried about how to serve and eat them.”
Until Valentine’s Day, packs of six Pacific Oysters are being sold for £1.50.
