Woolacombe beach in Devon has been named as the best beach in the UK for the second year in a row.
The three-mile beach, which is described as having ‘rolling, unbroken surf which makes it the ideal hotspot for surfers’, came top of a TripAdvisor list of the UK’s best beaches based on reviews and ratings.
It is the second year in a row that the beach has received the honour.

‘The sheer length of the beach means that there is no shortage of sand to sit down and relax on during the busy summer months,’ reads the travel site.
 
 The best beach in the world was named as Grace Bay in the Turks and Caicos, two groups of tropical islands in the Lucayan Archipelago in the Caribbean.
Playa de Ses Illetes on the Spanish island of Formentera was named best beach in Britain.
