But this passenger became so frustrated with matters at London Stansted that she decided to take the next logical step – remove her skirt.
Eimear Ni Ghiallgairrh was arrested by police after she undressed in front of a queue of passengers.
The 29-year-old from Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, was travelling to Barcelona on January 21 to interview for an architecture job and had arrived at the airport 90 minutes before her flight.
She claimed she stripped off in a desperate attempt to show she was not concealing anything on her person.

As she was arrested she broke her thumb
before being escorted to an on-site police station where she was held
for 15 hours and then released.
Ni Ghiallgairrh was
yesterday fined £80 after pleading guilty to disorderly behaviour and
criminal damage at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court.
She was ordered to pay another £70 in costs.
Prosecutor Karen Phillips, told the court:
‘She refused to be searched, became heated, got agitated and removed
her skirt, standing in her tights.
‘Members of the public around were distressed as she was undressing. She also banged on the desk angrily.’
