'We will never give up': Madeleine McCann is ‘still in Portugal’, Mum Kate believes

Kate McCann says that she believes her daughter has never left Portugal – and that she and Gerry have ‘never given up’.
Kate McCann, 47, says that she believes that whoever snatched the three-year-old in the Algarve resort of Praia de Luz didn’t take her far away.
Kate told The Sun, ‘That’s where she last was and I don’t think she’s been taken a million miles from there.
‘I’ve always said Praia da Luz is the place where I feel closest to her.’
In the nine years since Madeleine vanished, there have been thousands of reported sightings all over the world.

‘The urge to look for Madeleine absolutely hasn’t changed at all. You hear all the time about people who have been missing for years being found. There have been so many cases like that.
‘We will never give up. You couldn’t settle if you thought about giving up. I want an end, an answer. Whatever that it is.’
Kate is behind a new drive to get parents in the UK to register for Child Rescue Alerts – where appeals are sent out electronically when a child goes missing.
