Club's CEO confirms he wants deal for Chelsea star

Bundesliga giants Werder Bremen have confirmed they want to keep Chelsea defender Papy Djilobodji beyond the end of the season.
The Senegal international moved to Stamford Bridge last summer from Nantes but made just one appearance for the Blues before moving to Bremen on loan in January.
The 27-year-old’s has impressed the German outfit during his five appearances for the club but there is no deal in place beyond the expiry of his six-month loan deal.
However, Bremen’s CEO Thomas Eichin has confirmed that the club would like to keep the star on loan next season but suggested that they could not afford a permanent deal.
‘If Chelsea want to sell him, we’d be without a chance but should they want to get him more playing time first, we’d be in the mix,’ said Eichin.
