An EgyptAir flight en route from Alexandria to Cairo was hijacked Tuesday (Mar 29) and diverted to Cyprus, according to a spokesperson from the airline.

CAIRO: An EgyptAir flight en route from Alexandria to Cairo
was hijacked Tuesday (Mar 29) and diverted to Cyprus, according to a
spokesperson from the airline.
The domestic flight landed at Larnaca Airport, according to Cyprus' state broadcaster.
Local media reported that there were 81 people on board and that one man was armed.
