Playing Jennifer Lopez Says She's Had 5 'Amazing Proposals,' Reveals the Time It Wasn't 'Right'
Jennifer Lopez reveals that some of the most romantic moments in her life have been marriage proposals.
The 46-year-old diva joined James Corden for Carpool Karaoke on
Tuesday night, and shared that while she's only had three marriages,
she's been proposed to five times. "I've had some amazing proposals."
Lopez admitted. "You know, I've been married a couple times. I'm still
trying to get it right!"
The triple-threat star was married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, Chris Judd from 2001 to 2003, and Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. Lopez was also engaged to Ben Affleck
in November 2002, but the two never made it down the aisle, calling it
quits in January 2004. "I don't want to compare one [proposal] to
another," she said. "They were all pretty spectacular."
Lopez doesn't mention who was behind her fifth
marriage proposal, but did say that she knew it wasn't right. "Then
there were some that asked me to marry them, but I said no," she
admitted. When asked how one would say "no" to an engagement, Lopez
quipped, "You just say no."
She added, "You're just like, 'No, this isn't right.'"
Corden joked, "Oh God, that is a difficult dinner after that."
Lopez is currently in a relationship with
28-year-old choreographer, Casper Smart, and was also asked how young is
too young for her when it comes to dating. "They have to be legal," she
quipped, but noted that she would not go for an 18 or 19-year-old guy.
She said of her dating practices, "I'm so monogamous, it's stupid."
