Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski in Teen Wolf
MTV
Teen Wolf season 5 finale had a happy ending for Beacon Hills teenagers, who will defeat the
Beast of Gevaudan. Scott, Stiles and his pack managed to save Mason and Lydia, as Theo fell to his hellish fate.
However, in the final moments of the episode,
a Nazi werewolf, who is pegged to be the main villain in the upcoming
season, crawled out of the Dread Doctor's green chamber. Teen Wolf
creator Jeff Davis teased a three-month time jump and shared plot
details for season 6. He told SeattlePi,
"It'll be three months. It'll be the second semester of senior year.
I'm not a fan of graduation scenes in TV, but they are barreling towards
graduation. It's going to cause a lot of anxiety for our main
characters."
According to Davis,
season 6 will be a ghost story. "We're big fans of genre in the writer's
room. With Season 5b we said, "This is going to be a monster movie."
With Season 6 we have a very clear idea that it's going to be a ghost
story."
The creator teased a
lot of WWII scenes and the Nazi werewolf as the main villain. Davis
said, "He will be lurking about Season 6 and causing a lot of trouble.
It may actually allow us to explore another episode in WWII. We had a
lot of fun doing the fox and the wolf with the Japanese internment camp
episode so we may revisit that."
Season 6 will feature
a new mythology for Scott, Stiles and his pack to solve. "There will be
another threat that is worrisome. That has to do with the different
mythology that we're exploring for Season 6, which is a pretty big one
for us and technically very difficult for us."
The 6th season of the MTV series will go back to Scott and Stiles's friendship story. "
One
of the things that we're really trying to do with Season 6 is show the
strength of friendships and test that again. We're taking it back to the
story of Scott and Stiles' (Dylan O'Brien) friendship and how
meaningful that [is]."
MTV is yet to announce the premiere date for Teen Wolf season 6, but the show is expected to return sometime in June.
