While Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have been duking it out for votes in the upcoming New York Democratic primaries, Clinton's big-name friends, George and Amal Clooney, threw a star-studded fundraiser to support their candidate.
Nearly 150celebs and supporters attended the gala dinner, held at the Clooneys' Los Angeles home Saturday night, where tickets were priced at $33,400 per person, Variety reports. Guests included Ellen DeGeneres, Portia De Rossi, Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, Jane Fonda and Jim Parsons, among many others.
The stars dressed up for the exorbitantly priced occasion and looked simply striking, enjoying the shindig in stylish comfort.
Cosmetics mogul Anastasia Soare shared several shots of the star-studded soiree to Snapchat, showing off the star-power of the proceedings.
Amal looked as gorgeous as always in regal black top with a white band around her waist, paired with an artistic floral-print skirt.

George also dropped in for a quick snapshot rocking a silver suit jacket and black button-down shirt, as well as a stylish salt-and-pepper goatee.

While guests handed over the hefty ticket price, it was nothing compared to the money donated by the events' co-chairs, who put in $354,000 each. The proceeds from the dinner went to the Hillary Victory Fund, a joint fundraising organization supporting Clinton's campaign, the DNC and a number of other Democratic party recipients.
However, the Clooneys' fancy fundraiser wasn't the only political event being held in the neighborhood Saturday night. Supporters for Sanders, Clinton's political rival, protested the high-priced party with a donation drive of their own -- where tickets were just $27 a pop.
During this contentious democratic primary campaign, Sanders supporters have often touted that the average donation to his campaign is $27, and due to the sheer number of his supporters, Sanders has managed to raise $139.8 million to Clinton's $222.4 million.
Sanders himself has taken Clinton to task for "going to big-money people to fund her campaign," calling a $353,400-per-couple fundraiser, held by Clooney in March, "obscene."
Clinton and Sanders, who faced off in a heated debate held last Thursday, will be vying for votes on Tuesday during New York's Democratic primary.
