Islamic State (Isis) magazine Dabiq has issued warnings against British politicians, Sayeeda Warsi former Tory party co-chair and Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, in the 14th instalment of the English magazine released on 13 April. The magazine has threatened Western Muslim politicians across the US and Europe who don't follow the militant group's ideology.
The Isis (Daesh) magazine also accuses US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's aide Huma Abedin and Muslim American Republican Keith Ellison, referring to them as 'crusaders'. An article in the magazine criticises the two American politicians –Ellison being the first Muslim to be elected to Congress –as "politically active apostates [who] involve themselves in the politics of the kufr." Kufr is an act performed against Islam.
The article further says that those "who are caught before they repent, then there is no amnesty for them and their shall be a painful — and fatal — punishment." A spokeswoman for Javid said the government is investigating the reports, while the UK government has not officially released a statement.
The Isis propaganda magazine also claimed Khalid and Ibrahim el-Bakraoui were the lead organizers behind the Paris and Brussels attacks. "All preparations for the raids in Paris and Brussels started with him [Khalid] and his older brother Ibrahim," the article read. "These two brothers gathered the weapons and the explosives." The Bakraoui brothers carried out suicide attacks at a metro station and at the Zaventem airport in Brussels.
"Paris was a warning. Brussels was a reminder," the article read. "What is yet to come will be more devastating and more bitter [sic]." A French official, however, remains doubtful of the claims and said, reported The Wall Street Journal: "Let's not forget this is a propaganda tool for Islamic State."
