Prescription painkillers were reportedly found in Prince’s estate, Paisley Park.
Law enforcement sources told CBS News on Wednesday that the drugs were found but did not indicate if they played a part in Prince’s death last week.
Also, the reports say the Carver County Sheriff’s Office has
asked the federal Drug Enforcement Administration for help
in determining where the medications came from and what prescriptions
Prince had obtained.
The 57-year-old’s cause of death has not been revealed but
an autopsy was completed last Friday. Results are expected in a few
weeks.
TMZ reports Prince had a long addiction to the painkiller, Percocet, stemming from a hip injury in 2009.
