After pulling out of the Grammys in the last minute, famed RNB singer Rihanna has now postponed the start of her Anti world tour.
The show was due to launch on February 26th in San
Diego, but it will now kick off in Jacksonville, on March 12th. The
first eight stops have all been shifted from February to March and May.
Rihanna’s representatives confirmed the new tour dates in a statement, in which they cite “production delays” as the main reason for the change.
This is yet another huge disappointment for the Rihanna
Navy, as the controversial singer pulled out of her Grammys performance
at the very last minute, due to health issues. The singer issued a
statement in which it was explained why she backed out of her
anticipated performance.
“Based
on Rihanna’s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna’s
doctor put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because she was at risk of
hemorrhaging her vocal chords,” the statement read.
Allegedly, the antibiotics Riri has been on for three days prior to the
Awards did not kill the infection adequately.
