“It’s gonna be the best,” the “Hands to Myself” singer, 23, told Access Hollywood on
Friday, April 29, of the star-studded night held annually at New York
City's Metropolitan Museum of Art. “It’s kinda like prom for fashion. … I
love going and I love going because everyone feels great.”
Gomez
demurred about which designer she or Swift, 26, will be wearing at the
fundraising gala benefiting the Met's Costume Institute.
“I don’t want to get in trouble,” she said as she grinned. “[But] it’s beautiful and it’s so cool.”
The best friends have attended many major events and awards shows together in the past, including this year’s Grammy Awards, where Swift won Best Music Video for her smash hit “Bad Blood.”
The “Wildest Dream” singer shared
a behind-the-scenes video
of herself freaking out with Gomez just after their win was announced.
“What just happened?! What just happened?!” Swift yells in
the video. The camera then pans to Gomez, who is similarly freaking out
and gasping in response.
“We just won a Grammy for the Bad Blood music video and we are NOT OK @selenagomez,” Swift captioned the clip on Instagram.
