Brace yourselves ‘Star Wars’ fans, because a an actor has finally been named to play young Han Solo in the upcoming standalone film. Alden Ehrenreich, whi had his breakout role in the recent hit ‘Hail Caesar!’ will be the lead in the new movie, and we’re so pumped! Here’s the scoop.
It’s official! Alden Ehrenreich will
be playing young Han Solo in a standalone Star Wars film abut the
character’s life. The 26-year-old is coming off a career high as the
star of Hail Caesar! and clearly he’s caught the attention of studio execs. We have all the details, right here!
This is so exciting! Not much is known about the future Han Solo standalone film, but Deadline reports that they finally have a star!
Alden is going to play young Han in the movie, and we can see why! He’s
got the same strong chin, squinty eyes and broad, toothy grin as the
original Han, Harrison Ford! Do you see the resemblance?
The 26-year-old star gained notoriety after appearing in the film Hail Caesar! alongside George Clooney and Channing Tatum. He was the breakout star of the film, and clearly it left a mark on the mind of the Han Solo casting director. Deadline
reported that after his screen test, he became the clear front runner
for the spinoff among several other young relative unknowns including Taron Egerton and Jack Reynor.
The new film is expected to be called Han Solo: A Star Wars Story,
but everything about it has been kept super-secret. In the movies, not
much was said about Han’s past, but there are tons of books and comics
that may hold hints about the trouble he will get into in the film. We
cant wait to see it!
