Sister singing duo Chloe x Halle are huge Beyonce fans.
However, unlike many musical hopefuls who look up to the
"Formation" singer, they've been given the opportunity to become her
protégés.
The talented singers, Chloe and Halle Bailey,
spoke with ET's Denny Directo at the Radio Disney Music Awards over the
weekend where they gushed about their mentor.
"She just taught us to continue to stay true to
who we are, trusting in our ideas and what we believe in," Chloe, 17,
explained when asked about the lessons they've taken away from working
with Beyonce. "Just how poised she is and how gracious she is...it's
just wonderful to look up to that. We love her!"
"She's a wonderful role model," Halle, 16, added.
Aside from simply working with the beloved 34-year-old diva, the girls also appeared in her ambitious new project Lemonade, as part of the song "Freedom."
"That was so cool just to be there and be amongst all those beautiful young women," Halle recalled.
"It was so much fun. We shot it in December and
hanging out with Amandla [Stenberg] and Zendaya was so much fun," Chloe
chimed in. "Being around all those beautiful strong women, it was a
fantastic experience and we're so happy we can even say we were a part
of Lemonade."
Chloe x Halle's debut EP Sugar Symphony premiered April 29.
