Madonna was reunited with her son Rocco on Friday, and the Material Girl couldn’t look more content.
Amidst a drawn-out custody battle with her ex-husband, director Guy Ritchie, the 57-year-old music icon got a chance to spend some time with her 15-year-old son. She even shared a pic of their heartfelt hug to Instagram on Friday.
"We need [love]!" Madonna captioned the sweet
snapshot, in which she has her arms wrapped around Rocco's neck and her
head resting on his shoulder.
The pic appears to be taken during the singer's
recent trip to London, where Rocco has been living with his dad despite a
court ruling that previously granted Madonna care of the teenager.
In March, a judge in the U.K. urged the Rebel
Heart singer and the Sherlock Holmes director, who filed for divorce in
2008 after eight of marriage, to settle the custody battle.
If the couple is unable to do so, future decisions about Rocco's residency will have to be decided in a New York court or through family mediation.
