Michael Strahan still has love for Live! With Kelly and Michael.
The former NFL pro spoke to ET at the 2016 Met Gala
about his drama-filled departure from the daytime TV show he cohosts
with Kelly Ripa, saying he thinks "everyone got the wrong impression" of
what all went down.
"Every week is great, every day is great for me.
I'm on the other side of the dirt," the 44-year-old explained. "Yeah I'm
looking forward to [moving to Good Morning America full time], but I'm still looking forward to going to work for Live!... I love being there. I still love it."
"It's a great show, great people, and I'm very fortunate to be a part of it," the TV host added.
While news of Strahan's sudden exit announcement may have played a part in some awkward moments
between the co-hosts recently, the showstill won a Daytime Emmy during
this year's ceremony, which Strahan called a "testament to our staff,
and the work we put in."
"That was big," he admitted. "Surprised both of us. I'm happy though."

Strahan's reaction to their Emmy win as he prepares for his last two
weeks on the program.
