Classic rocker Paul McCartney loves the classics.
A Page Six source saw the Beatles icon at the AADLA Fine Art & Antiques Show recently picking up “a very nice copy” of Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream” from Imperial Fine Books.
The tome was a “first trade edition” — the earliest available to the general public — and illustrated by Arthur Rackham, who began his work around the turn of the 20th century and was renowned for his work on books such as “Rip Van Winkle” and “Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm.”
We hear that Macca shelled out $2,250 for the rare work.
