Police Arrest 2 Brothers, Friend For Kidnapping

Two brothers and their friend, suspected to be members of a kidnap gang have been arrested by the police in Ukunzu village, Aniocha North local government area, Delta state.
According to the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Celestina Kalu, the suspects were arrested based on reports by some of their victims that there were some hoodlums terrorising innocent members of the public between Alifekede and Agbor.
The police spokesperson said based on the report, detectives stormed their hideout at Okunzo village and arrested the kidnappers.
She gave their names as Ikenne Okonkwo, Ikechukwu Okonkwo and Fidelis Odi, adding that investigations revealed that the suspects also assisted kidnappers in keeping kidnap victims in the Okunzu forest.
In the same vein, five members of a dangerous criminal gang in Asaba are now in police net.
The police’s spokesperson said that the suspects have confessed their membership of armed robbery/kidnap gangs terrorising Asaba, Ugbolu and its environs and also led the police to Mile 5 area where their operational cut-to-size single barrel guns were recovered, adding that one of their female victims identified them.
