For one man, dressing up on Halloween isn’t just about finding the scariest or sexiest costume for the block party, it’s about controversy.
According to the Daily Mail, internet users were outraged over photos of a man’s costume, which consisted of him wearing a Ray Rice jersey, dragging around a blow-up doll in a long, dark wig. The costume is meant to represent the physical altercation between NFL player Rice and his wife.
The photos were first uploaded to Reddit with the caption: “Ladies were falling for my friends Ray Rice costume.”
One photo shows the party-goer posing while dragging the doll by her hair, symbolizing the football star dragging his wife’s limp body from the elevator after knocking her unconscious.
Many are outraged by the simulation, but others are defending his right to express his sense of humor, however dark or controversial it may be.
