The Bridget Jones star has begun shooting in Jackson, Mississippi for the faith-based drama Same Kind Of Different As Me, in which she will star alongside Djimon Hounsou, Greg Kinnear and Jon Voight, with Michael Carney directing.

The Paramount Pictures' drama is an adaptation of the book by Lynn Vincent, a ghostwriter and the collaborator behind books such as former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin's Going Rogue. It will be the first film for Zellweger since the 2010 drama My Own Love Song, debunking any speculation about the end of her acting career.The film is based on the best-selling non-fiction book written by Ron Hall and Denver Moore, with Vincent. It tells the true story of Ron Hall, an art dealer (Kinnear) who must take a dangerous homeless man (Hounsou) under his wing in order to salvage his marriage with his wife (Zellweger). Voight will play the father of Hall, with whom he reconciles.
Same Kind Of Different As Me will be the second faith-based film for Kinnear, who is best known for his role in the 1997 classic As Good As It Gets.
