Hollywood Actress Threatens Ex-Boyfriend With Lawsuit Over Nude Pics

Actress Bridget Moynahan has sent a stern letter to her photographer ex-boyfriend, threatening a lawsuit over nude pictures he took of her while they dated.
The mother of a child with football star Tom Brady and star of the hit CBS drama “Blue Bloods,” Moynahan, 43, dated James “Tiff” Pemberton, 52, for three years, during which time he snapped roughly 1,100 nude pictures of her, according to the New York Post. The pair got together while she was an aspiring model just before her film debut in 2000 in the movie “Coyote Ugly.”

The Post reports that one of the image sets were so objectionable that Moynahan demanded they be destroyed when the pair split. They featured the actress and her best friend in a Williamsburg, Brooklyn location.
“It was just a nude shoot,” Pemberton recalled. “We did it kind of drunk. It was kind of funny or what have you.” But Moynahan obviously disagrees now.

Pemberton approached Moynahan about a year ago and suggested that the photos could be featured in an exhibit, showing her about 100 different images as an example. However, Moynahan strongly objected, and now the two are poised for a legal battle over them.

Moynahan’s attorney shot off a threatening letter to Pemberton over the pictures, which she posed for willingly and were done in a professional environment, saying she never consented to their being used publicly.
“Ms. Moynahan . . . has spent her career making sure she did not do images like the photos for any public use/release, and even turned down movies with gratuitous nudity because she always had her family in mind,” the letter reads. “The private photos of her taken during the course of your romantic relationship were intended solely for her and your private personal review.”
“Irrespective of any rights to privately personally look at the photos yourself (which we understand does not go over well with your fiancé), our client certainly never legally consented to the public use of her image and name.”

It’s unclear whether Pemberton still intends on showing the images publicly, but it doesn’t sound like he’s going to be backing down.
“Attacking you for the rights to your work is wrong,” he told The Post. “It’s a statement about what a celebrity will do to squash what they don’t want out there.”
While it may be Pemberton’s career to photograph people, using such images without express consent would be beyond inappropriate since they were taken under the privilege of being in a relationship with Moynahan. Hopefully, he does the right thing and backs down.
Do you think he has the right to use them, or is Moynahan in the right in demanding he not release them? Let us know in the comments!
